In this pointcloud captured with the YellowScan Voyager 50, we can clearly distinguish the geometry of the facades, its Italian balconies, French gardens and its royal motifs.
Chambord is one the most famous French castles, classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO and built by Francois 1st in the 16th century.
It has a vast public park (1390 hectares/3429 acres) which is part of a total domain of 5440 ha/13440 acres. This makes it the largest enclosed forest park in Europe. Interestingly, it is believed that Leonardo da Vinci may have contributed to the castle’s design.
The building has 440 rooms, 262 fireplaces, 365 windows, and 73 staircases and it took 1800 workers to build it!
