What is an ROV (Underwater Drone)?
An ROV stands for "Remotely Operated Vehicle". This can be translated as "Remotely Operated Vehicle".
The ROV is also called a UAV and/or underwater robot. It is powered by a battery with a range of 1h30 to 4 hours depending on the model. It is connected to a cable called "umbilical" which is used to communicate with the remote control and to have a visual feedback on the piloting monitor when taking pictures, images as videos.
The ROV is capable of intervening in diverse and varied professional environments in order to carry out inspection and observation missions essentially. It is fast, secure and can operate in confined spaces.
