What is an ROV (Underwater Drone)?

An ROV stands for "Remotely Operated Vehicle". This can be translated as "Remotely Operated Vehicle".The ROV is also called a UAV and/or underwater robot. It is powered by a battery with a range of 1h30 to 4 hours depending on the model. It is connected to a cable called "umbilical" which is used to communicate with the remote control and to have a visual feedback on the piloting monitor when taking pictures, images as videos.The ROV is capable of intervening in diverse and varied professional environments in order to carry out inspection and observation missions essentially. It is fast, secure and can operate in confined spaces.

Today, the traditional method of emptying thousands of cubic metres of water, cleaning and refilling tanks, vats and ponds must change. We can no longer afford to waste water, which is a perishable and vital element for mankind.

This is why AIRSUB Drone offers a service of cleaning and suction thanks to underwater robots capable of sucking the sediments present at the bottom of tanks, vats, basins for storing water or other fluids (industrial, fire, drinking, irrigation, fish farming...) without draining beforehand.

They are remotely controlled, equipped with an integrated pump, are immersed in the water in order to suck up the sediments and discharge them to the outside thanks to a hose equipped with floats. In order to avoid the loss of water during suction, the filter bag system is set up to collect the sediments where the water will be able to return to its container through the micro-perforations of the geo-synthetic solution. This sediment can be recycled and/or reused for other purposes.
